Introducing the legendary self-taught artist, Charlie Lucas, a true icon among outsider artists who gained prominence in the latter part of the 20th century. As the youngest member of this esteemed group, Charlie stands as the last in a remarkable lineage of black folk artists in Alabama, a tradition that spans over a century.

Join us in an immersive workshop led by “The Tin Man." Charlie Lucas has a talent for transforming discarded materials into works of art. In this hands-on experience, participants will have the chance to follow in his footsteps, using found scrap metal and various other items to craft their own sculpted masterpieces.
