After marrying my high school sweetheart -- an Air Force pilot -- and living here, there, and everywhere -- and starting a family along the way -- life brought us to Auburn, Alabama where we put down roots following a military career.
My family and I developed a vision for a creative jewelry studio where we could teach others how to make jewelry, as well as create and sell our designs. Inspired by Helen Keller's words "life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all", and the generosity of a local hero who owned the building Perch called home for the next decade, we opened Perch in 2009.
The studio became a community meeting place where everyone came together to create, collaborate and inspire one another. Together we created jewelry, fostered creative synergy, but mostly built a community.
Like many businesses, we had to rethink our business model in 2020. After an incredible 11 years of discovery, friendships, and hard work at Perch, we decided to transition Perch to an online studio. Closing the store and transitioning to an online presence was challenging because it’s a new way of doing business.
Constantly reflecting on what life has in store for me, and what my next chapter would look like, I took a step forward in my evolution by creating a new company with a jewelry collection that carries my name.
At the heart of it all, I'm a creator who works from a place of love – a love for people, life, and making things. I collect stories, stones, and inspiration from my travels, community, and own backyard.
I’m excited about taking this next step to becoming closer to myself and hope that you will share this journey with me.
