I was born in Texas, the middle of three girls — the peacemaker, the pleaser, and the quiet observer between two strong, vibrant sisters. Growing up in a big, loving family taught me the beauty of hard work, kindness, and the art of making something from nothing. Whether we were flipping houses, planting Christmas trees, or selling pecans from our orchard, our family lived by one simple truth: where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Some of my earliest memories are shaped by the hands of makers — parents teaching me how to work hard and be creative with businesses,  grandparents building projects in the garage, and Saturday afternoons touching bolts of fabric with my grandmother. Creating was never just about the end result; it was about connection, imagination, and love.

Life eventually carried me far from Texas. I married my high school sweetheart, James, and together we built a life shaped by his Air Force service. Moving across the country with our three children taught me resilience, courage, and the importance of community. Each new place offered lessons in adaptability, creativity, and self-discovery — lessons that continue to inform both my life and my work.

During seasons of deployment and uncertainty, I found myself planting roots in unfamiliar soil. In those quieter moments, I discovered a deep desire to create spaces that brought people together. That longing became Perch Jewelry Studio — a creative studio where people gathered to make, connect, and experience the joy of creating side by side.

When the world shifted and Perch closed its doors, I leaned into the stillness of COVID. From that pause came a return to what had always grounded me: nature, the outdoors, and the quiet strength of the wild.

Today, that spirit lives on through my jewelry. As a self-taught designer, I create slowly and intentionally, drawing inspiration from nature, the kindness of people, and the places I’ve been. I carefully select materials that honor the Earth and reflect the landscapes from which they come, allowing each piece to carry a sense of place, time, and story.

My hope is that this jewelry becomes more than something you wear — that it serves as a reminder to slow down, explore, and reconnect with your wild self. Because when we connect to nature, we reconnect to ourselves — and that connection is what unites us all.
