When we begin to see Earth's offerings of stones, plants, and animals as gifts, we begin to experience a shift into the space of gratitude. Being in my studio, creating from a bounty of resources, I breathe out a sense of gratitude for all I've been given. Gratitude is more than a simple thank you, it's the thread that connects and gives us a deeper relationship with the natural world. As a creator who works from a space of love and gratitude for making jewelry, that energy of love multiplies with every exchange, and I feel is the true currency of the gift economy. We pass the peace and love to Mother Earth and feel nourished by these gifts, from hand to hand. When we acknowledge this knowing and gratitude of Mother Earth, we find our place in the living world and feel a deep belonging.
