The Kinship Collection is my invitation to belonging. A dream for us to live as one family on this planet-giving us the chance every day to become better kin-being more receptive to others. The jewelry in this collection is designed while focusing on materials as a gift and handcrafted piece by piece, weaving a story that explores our deep interconnections with the living world. 

The narrative has always been slow design. Slow design is easy for us and the environment. It is about seeking to do everything at the right speed, savoring the hours and the minutes rather than counting them, and taking the time to notice the world around us.

Through the design process, I hope to inspire others to slow down, notice the simple beauty in nature, and see the power of healing ourselves and the planet with those connections. 

I remember the beautiful covenant of reciprocity handed down from Native American ancestors. Robin Kimmerer says beautifully, “Responsibilities and gifts are two sides of a coin. The possession of a gift is coupled with a duty to use it for the benefit of all. So when we ask ourselves, what is our responsibility to the Earth, we also ask - what is our gift?”
